Although the government is lifting Covid restrictions from Monday 19th July, the Vortex is taking a gradual approach to re-opening.
Like everyone else we want to get back to business-as-normal but while case numbers remain high and a significant proportion of the population is not yet double-vaxxed, we think a degree of caution is called for in order to protect everyone using the premises – staff, volunteers, musicians and audience members – from the risk of transmission, as far as is reasonably possible.
So, for the time being, we are going to carry on asking people to wear masks, except when they are seated or performing.
We are increasing the number of tickets available for each gig but we won’t be returning to full capacity just yet.
We have also decided to carry on doing table service with a seated audience for a while longer.
If you want to check out our full updated Covid risk assessment you can find it here.
We ask you not to come to the club if you have Covid-type symptoms. If you can’t make a gig because you have to self-isolate then just get in touch by filling out this form and we’ll give you a voucher for another gig.
We are keeping the situation under review and hope it won’t be too long before we’re hosting full capacity audiences again. In the meantime, check out the great gigs we’ve got coming up in the next few weeks and we look forward to seeing you in the club!
