“Vortex Lates” is a new series of events taking place in our downstairs bar from 10-1am every Friday or Saturday. A new late-night jazz hang for Dalston where you can grab a drink and listen to some of the best improvised musicians from around the city. For only £6, check out exciting music from a revolving line-up of innovative performers digging into standards and new music alongside DJs spinning vinyl until the early hours. A relaxed atmosphere with special drinks offers each night and an opportunity to be part of the extended Vortex community.
This time we are joined by drummer and percussionist Paul Clarvis who can be heard across genres ranging from the joyfully raucous Fats Waller reimaginings of Pigfoot͛ to the sensitive renditions of some of the most beautiful standards in his duo with pianist Liam Noble.
