Our Jazz and Wine event, hosted by Liv Kessler, is in collaboration with Italian winery Cantina Le Pietre with winemaker Andrea Cavallari. Music is by the Phelan Burgoyne Trio.
We are excited that Andrea will be joining us to take us on the sampling of his wines.
As we continue our deepening relationship between wine and jazz, for our autumn tasting, we shall be tasting the wineries’ three Cuvées and olive oil. Winemaker Andrea Cavallari will be presenting his wines. Andrea’s wine is grown from 6 hectares located in Reggello, in the heart of Tuscany’s Valdarno di Sopra – Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet and Viognier. His wines ferment and mature with the music of J. S. Bach.
Phelan Burgoyne trio. Phelan Burgoyne (1994) is a British drummer and composer based in Firenze, Italy. In the band tonight is James Kitchman (guitar), and bassist Misha Mullov-Abbado. Phelan has connections to the winery and thus will make the music appropriate to enhance the experience.
The winery’s motto says it all. “Wine is not science, it’s Art.”
From their website:
All fermentation process, from fermentation, to aging and elevage of the wine are done with the music of J. S. Bach
We believe in the harmonic power of classical music.
