The Alan Tomlinson Trio formed in 1992 and has thrilled audiences around the UK and Europe with a powerful, mix of technical virtuosity, punk energy, and a spirited performance style. 2017 at last sees the eagerly awaited release of a CD – Out and Out, which finally captures the raw excitement of this trio in live performance.
Alan Tomlinson: tenor and alto trombones
In the early 80’s was already an active member of the London and European improvised music scene. Member of Tony Oxley’s Angular Apron, Peter Brotzmann’s Alarm, and a long-time member of Barry Guy’s London Improvisers Orchestra. Has played festivals, concerts and broadcasts throughout Europe with many different ensembles and continues to solo do gigs .Has worked professionally in most fields of music and as a member of the contemporary music groups New London Winds and Sounds Positive has given many first performances of pieces written for him.

Veryan Weston:
Veryan Weston is a London- based musician and pianist involved in contemporary improvisation, who also composes from time to time. He has worked with Phil Minton, Lol Coxhill, Eddie Prévost, Jon Rose and Trevor Watts amongst many others.
