Alec Harper has established himself as one of the leading tenor saxophonists of his generation. When he’s not busy performing with the highly popular outfit “Kansas Smitty’s”, you can find him fronting his own group as well as a sideman for admired local bands. Alec has performed with the likes of “Tom Misch”, “Soft Cell” and the “WDR Big Band” taking him to venues around the world, including North Sea Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s & Dizzy’s (NYC).Tonight, as well as their own swinging originals, the quartet will focus on repertoire from the hard bop and post-bop eras performing repertoire by Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson and more.
