Award-winning clarinettist and composer Arun Ghosh makes an eagerly anticipated return to The Vortex, performing music from new album, Seclused in Light.
A leading light on the UK jazz scene, Arun is considered a renowned innovator of modern IndoJazz. With a musical style that embodies a multi-era, multi-genre approach, he and his band deliver a passionate sound, driven by soaring melodies, hypnotic rhythms and transcendental textures.
Composed, recorded and produced during the lockdowns, the music on Seclused in Light is at times evocative and introspective, other times searing and effervescent…but always brought to life, and given breath by Arun’s uniquely expressive clarinet playing and style, vibrancy and spirit.
Twice winner of Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year, Arun is a charismatic and communicative performer. His shows are always special, spontaneous and moving events; this is a gig not to be missed!
