Two songwriters join Matthew Herd to perform in the round as part of this intimate, late night series.

This month features Nina Sundstrom and Josh Finn.

Raised as a product of humble Scandinavian heritage and English charm, Nina Sundstrom is a songwriter with strong roots and blossoming capabilities. Working primarily in the writing room with other artists, including Danny O’Donoghue (The Script), Jamie Lawson, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Brooke Alex & Hannah Grace, Nina’s songwriting craft is well recognised.

Through her own music, Nina explores classic songwriting styles through a modern lens, all delivered in a captivatingly honest and straightforward package, drawing on influences such as Carole Kind, Sara Bareilles, and Phoebe Bridgers.

Wounded Bear is the genre bending folk rock project of Yorkshire born Josh Finn. Finn writes story-driven, classical guitar led songs, drawing inspiration from the everyday and epic alike. His favourite fiction writers provide the foundation of this taste as a songwriter, drawing from the Russian masters and contemporary poets for inspiration. His debut EP, ‘A Calm Night for a Bullfight’, landed him fans at BBC6 Music and BBC Introducing, as well as in fellow writers like Benjmain Francis Leftwich, and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly. 2023 has seen the recording of his long-awaited follow up EP, which will be released in 2024.
