Dogma is a new forward-looking project by four of the most prominent young Italian jazz musicians: pianist Alessandro Lanzoni, guitarist Federico Casagrande, bassist Andrea Di Biase and drummer Michele Salgarello. Despite his young age, Alessandro Lanzoni has already collaborated with an impressive amount of jazz legends such as Lee Konitz, Ralph Alessi and Kurt Rosenwinkel: Paris-based Federico Casagrande is widely recognised as one the most original guitarist of his generation through his albums with the renowned label Cam Jazz; London-based bassist Andrea Di Biase is becoming an ever more present voice in the british avantgarde jazz scene and Michele Salgarello is one of the most in demand drummers in Italy. Dogma works as an artistic collective focused on writing original music which stretches the boundaries of melodic research and formal complexity.
