Enrico Pieranunzi Trio
A very special performance, part of this years London Jazz Festival, Italy’s jazz poet, pianist & composer Enrico Pieranunzi plays with his trio. Known for fusing classical piano techniques with that of jazz; as a composer he doesn’t clutter his scores and as a pianist he avoids improvising with technical excess. His playing is described as having intense lyricism, while not losing hold of that ability to swing with energy and freshness. The trio includes Enzo Zirilli (drums) and Geoff Gascoyne (bass).
