However, pianist/MD Alex Webb has programmed the excellent Anglo-Italian vocalist Francesca Mondi for an evening of classic songs, Brazilian flavours and touching ballads. Joining her is tenor saxophonist Josh Kemp, whose playing ranges from ‘Getzian breeziness to Coltrane’s imploring cry ‘ (The Guardian). Webb leads a swinging rhythm section of Ed Babar (bass) and Dan Hester (drums).
