Kuma Lisa is an international trio based in London. The group combines the Eastern European vocal traditions of Bulgarian-born Mariana Bogdanova with Western folk/pop & jazz sensibilities of British born Rupert Gillett and Dutch-born Rob Stutterheim. The music that results from this unlikely clash of cultures is a fresh, fascinating fusion with toe-tapping beats and emotionally charged melodies. This gig is to celebrate the release of their debut album and they will be joined on stage by special guests Antonia Pagulatos (violin) and Dave Shulman (clarinet). Their music is beautiful, ethereal and completely entrancing.
