Nicki Heinen curates a special night for the London Jazz Festival where jazz musicians and poets both work to give a special atmosphere.

Bobby Parker’s work was recently included in the Best British Poetry 2015 anthology (Salt Publishing). He is the author of several odd books, most of which are now out of print. However, his first full collection of poetry ‘Blue Movie’ is available from Nine Arches Press. He lives in London.
Roddy Lumsden has published nine collections of poetry, most recently ‘Melt and Solve’ (Salt, 2015). He works as a poetry editor and as a tutor for Poetry School.
Anouche Sherman is a French born poet, translator and multimedia artist.
Music recurs in Valeria Vescina’s short stories, such as ‘Pianissimo’ for the Royal Philharmonic Society, and in her first novel, currently in its near-final draft. This winter she will be teaching at RBKC about music in fiction.
Riccardo Chiaberta is an Italian drummer and composer who has recently moved to London. He released his first album with his band “Nirguna” in October 2015 with “Honolulu records”, a label that Riccardo founded with other nine musicians from Milan. He currently plays in different projects with Paolino Dalla Porta, Emanuele Cisi, Achille Succi and many others.
Andrea Di Biase is a Milan born, London based bassist and composer. Since 2005 he has been an active part of London’s modern jazz scene with bands such as Ivo Neame’s Escape Hatch, Bruno Heinen’s Dialogues Trio, Kenny Wheeler trio feat. Liam Noble and Elchin Shirinov Trio. He also published his first album as a composer with Oltremare Quartet in 2011.
Michele Caiati is an Italian guitar player and composer based in Milan. Leader and sideman of various bands in the Italian jazz scene, he released his debut album in 2013 with his project “Dugong”. In 2014, along with other 9 Italian musicians, he founded the independent label Honolulu Records. Michele has studied with great musicians such as Andres Jormin, Drew Gress, Peter Bernstein, Ben Monder, Enrico Pieranunzi, Franco D’Andrea, Scott Coley and has played with musicians such as Pietro Tonolo, Marco Micheli, Antonio Zambrini and Andrea Dulbecco.
Unfortunately, William Roychowdhury will be unable to join tonight because of premature fatherhood syndrome.
