LJO VORTEX SESSIONS / Kenny Wheeler birthday tribute

Kenny Wheeler was a founder member of the London Jazz Orchestra, providing much of the band’s original repertoire. One of the most thrillingly original of trumpet and flugelhorn players, he was a groundbreaking, lyrical composer whose influence is reflected in the music of all those who knew and played with him. The jazz orchestra was Kenny’s main vehicle, and the LJO features his music in his birthday month.
