Anyinke Martins (vocals)
Singer, songwriter and producer AYINKE MARTINS is the leading light in Nigerian jazz music. She fuses various African musical styles to create NAIJA JAZZ (Naija meaning Nigeria) a musical style of her own.
Her two CDs (FIRST FRUIT and AYINKE NOW) are testimony to her originality in song writing, arranging and producing. She is both executive and music producer on both CDs.
Ayinke Martins wrote some of the most celebrated songs for The Yoruba Women Choir and plays massive role in turning the choir to Africa’s finest choir.
For the festival she brings her group to London and expect to hear classics like BI ALA, EDI DE, NI RESA.
