The LJO present an explosion of new work!
Now in its 28th anniversary year at the Vortex, the LJO features many of London’s top soloists and composers. For this years EFG London Jazz Festival, the LJO premiers a whole host of new pieces written by Scott Stroman, Noel Langley, Pete Hurt, Robbie Robson, Josephine Davies, Martin Hathaway, Martin Speake and Henry Lowther.
Directed by Scott Stroman, the London Jazz Orchestra is “as fine a band as you can find anywhere” (The Independent) and these up-close-and-personal sessions showcase great writing and soloing from a band that includes many of London’s top musicians, as well as new talents.
