John Coltrane’s album SUNSHIP, widely regarded as one of his greatest recordings, perhaps even more powerful than A LOVE SUPREME, is the inspiration for tonight’s concert. Paul Dunmall with his new quartet revisits this classic recording using a slightly different line up, including two front line horns instead of the more traditional sax and piano as in the original recording. Expect a very powerful respectful modern tribute to John Coltrane.
