Queer Jazz exists to platform, nurture and celebrate the emerging queer jazz scene. Programmed by Tina Edwards and Arowah, they have put together an exciting monthly programme of innovative LGBTQI+ artists at The Vortex Jazz Club, supported by Arts Council England.
Tickets are flexibly priced – please select the pricing tier that reflects your situation. We want as many people as possible to access the gigs so if you’re able to, please consider paying for the highest ticket band, otherwise cheaper tickets will be limited and available on first-come first-serve basis.

Peng Femme Jam: a live-music jam session, for peng people, highlighting & nurturing femme talent! Peng Femme Jam (PFJ) was born as a reaction to the male-dominated music/jam scene in London, and designed as a gender-diverse live, improvised event. We aim to create an inclusive and nurturing space for women, queer, and trans global majority musicians to play together and build their musicianship, nurture their creativity and reach their potential as self-sufficient artists/musicians.
Sl0ar: s0lar, is an upcoming eccentric queer creative, based in east London. A highly collaborative neo-soul/fusion artist who takes inspo from the greats such as Erykah Badu and De la soul, she write on both a personal and relatable level as well as having fun with her lyrics and harmonies.She’s been working on an Ep on the low. Never one to shy away from the spotlight, s0lar and her talented band bring intricate arrangements, exciting genre fusion and blended backing vocals to the stage.
