Silvia Leonzio Quartet is a new project that brings together various genres such as modern jazz, folk, world music, improvised music, and songwriting. The project introduces a fresh and captivating sound by combining these diverse elements.
The leader of the band is a jazz vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and improviser originally from Lithuania, who is currently based in London. Drawing from her diverse musical background, Silvia creates compositions that are influenced by modern jazz, folk, gospel, world music, and free jazz. In addition to her instrumental skills, Silvia also pushes the boundaries of traditional vocal roles in the band. The quartet’s original repertoire encompasses a well-balanced collection of highly energetic and soothing compositions, showcasing the remarkable talents and musical versatility of this exceptional group.
