The Flame is a fierce new improvising trio making their Vortex debut. Featuring Robert Mitchell (Piano/Perc/Poetry), Mark Sanders (Drums) and Neil Charles (Bass) – they bring a hugely accomplished individual and international renown. Their very first packed gig earlier this year (at Cafe Oto) was recorded and subsequently caught the ear of the amazing 577 Records (NYC) – who will release the first part as an album in 2023. The music is free flowing, miniscule, immense, unapologetic, percussive and may include original/improvised poetry/spoken word.
