The LJO Vortex Sessions
January’s Vortex session features the exciting return of Stan Sulzmann, LJO alto and tenor saxophonist for over 15 years. Stan, one of the all-time British greats, developed his unique jazz orchestra writing style in the LJO, and he returns as guest soloist for a concert devoted to his music. Also featured are a host of great soloists including Henry Lowther, trumpet, Martin Speake, Martin Hathaway, and Pete Hurt, saxes, Alcyona Mik, piano, and Alec Dankworth, bass.
