Twice as Nice celebrates the art of the duo. All through Jazz there have been pairings of masterful musicians – from Bill Evans/Jim Hall, Duke Ellington/John Coltrane, Don Cherry/Ed Blackwell – that have shown us just how powerful two musicians can be. This new monthly residency aims to keep this tradition alive by showcasing the best musicians in town – some put together for the time, some already established. But all displaying the qualities of a great duo – originality, spontaneity and dazzling musicality.
