Malaysian violinist – Pei AnnYeoh, pianist – Veryan Weston and multi-percussionist – Bei Bei Wang meet to perform contemporary improvisations reflecting their broad cultural origins.
Beibei Wang is a international soloist with both Chinese and British music education background. She has such ability of doing a variety of performances, including traditional, classical, conceptual and visual music performance. Her repertoire is covering diversity music, including classical, contemporary, jazz, rock, exotic and Chinese traditional music. Pei Ann Yeoh started musical endeavours at the age of 4, received her Fellowship Diploma from Trinity College London in both Solo Piano and Violin Performance. Active performances in jazz clubs and at the Conservatoire work with renowned musicians such as Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Jean Toussaint, and Frederic Rzewski. Veryan Weston – has had longstanding partnerships with Lol Coxhill, Trevor Watts and Hannah Marshall. Collaborations with Phil Minton giving song recitals from a large and broad repertoire and composed for variously sized ensemble projects. Included in over thirty CD releases and the recent “Tessellations” projects on pentatonic scales.
