Venues like the Vortex hope to reopen in May. Will the demand for ‘human’ attendance at real gigs actually outstrip the number available? Will the number of live events actually return to the levels pre-pandemic? If not, then there will remain the need for streamed gigs or other ways to satisfy the public. And musicians will still remain as drastically short of income as they have been for over a year.
