“Vortex Lates” is a new series of events taking place in our downstairs bar from 10:30-12am every Friday or Saturday. A new late-night jazz hang for Dalston where you can grab a drink and listen to some of the best improvised musicians from around the city. For only £6, check out exciting music from a revolving line-up of innovative performers digging into standards and new music alongside DJs spinning vinyl until the early hours. A relaxed atmosphere with special drinks offers each night and an opportunity to be part of the extended Vortex community.
This time we are joined by Multi-award winning saxophonist Kasper Rietkerk, who has collaborated with artists as Eddie Chacon, John Caroll Kirby, Jean Toussaint, and many others. Kasper has been awarded with the Brubeck Living Legacy Prize in July 2024, by the Royal Academy of Music and Brubeck Living Legacy.
