“Vortex Lates” is a new series of events taking place in our downstairs bar from 10:30-12am every Friday or Saturday. A new late-night jazz hang for Dalston where you can grab a drink and listen to some of the best improvised musicians from around the city. For only £6, check out exciting music from a revolving line-up of innovative performers digging into standards and new music alongside DJs spinning vinyl until the early hours. A relaxed atmosphere with special drinks offers each night and an opportunity to be part of the extended Vortex community.
This time we are joined by Mike Chillingworth, a London based saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He regularly performs throughout the UK and internationally with his own groups, and with many leading musicians at the forefront of British and European jazz.
